Ex Libris wanted to start a collective porn project with her friends fresh out of college, but it wasn’t until she stepped into the doors of Kink as an editor that she knew she wanted to direct porn commercially. With eight years under her belt honing her skills as a cinematographer at Kink and various other projects, she stepped up to the plate as the director of The Upper Floor and then soon after, Families Tied.

‘I am endlessly fascinated with sexual desire, BDSM, and fucking as sites where larger power structures are reproduced and reckoned with on an individual and social level. I wrote a lot about queer porn and Lacanian psychoanalysis in my earlier life as a video artist and studied with Barbara DeGenevieve.
