StormMiguel Florez is a trans, queer Chicane filmmaker, whose work includes the The Whistle (2019, Producer/Director), MAJOR! (2015, Editor/Co-Producer), and Vulveeta (2022, Editor/Co-Producer). His upcoming feature narrative directorial debut, Welcome To Roswell has received development funding and support from SFFILM/Rainin grant, 2021, Sundance Trans Possibilities, Sundance/Gold House fellowship, NALAC, Film Fatales, Stowe Story Labs, and the San Francisco Arts Commission. StormMiguel is also an event producer, musician, improv enthusiast, and actor. His first acting role was at the tender age of ten in the made for TV movie, Police Woman Centerfold. He’s originally from Albuquerque, NM, where is heart remains, and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 25 years. He lives with his life and filmmaking partner, Annalise Ophelian, and their 2 chihuahuas.
