With over 20 years of award-winning graphic design experience, Camrin Williams is
the go-to graphic designer that comes in on time, on budget, and on and exceeding
the precedent of quality. He currently designs with Camaraderie, an Advertising Agency
that he own's in Orange County, Ca. He studied at California State University, Long
Beach where he earned a bachelor's Degree in Film and Electronic Arts.
He opened his own company by his namesake, where he has been talented enough to work
with businesses such as Long Beach Pride which puts on the annual Long Beach Pride
festival generating close to a million dollars for the city.
But, it was the work he created for Wesley Health Centers that truly held a special
place in his heart. The program guides, Doctor’s rack cards, and advertisements promoted
such a noble cause. Helping the homeless and underserved, get the quality health care
that every human being deserves, regardless of ability to pay. This newfound approach
to graphic design filled Camrin with a new sense of purpose. Through design not only
can things be visually arresting, but also do good in the world.
Excited to promote good through his work he began working with, Drag Queen Superstar,
Shangela. Her biggest message is love. Love for oneself, love for others, and love
for everyone around you. By creating many of her theatrical one-sheets (a.k.a. posters)
for her one-woman shows, logos, and packaging Camrin has helped promote LGBTQ rights,
freedoms, and liberties for all who feel different than the status quo.
“Designing is such an integral part of my life and permeates throughout everything
I do. Design for me is about forward-thinking, always being three steps ahead and
generating work that helps inform, uplift and inspire the one who engages with it.”
Being a positive and upright guy, Camrin strives to design graphics that not only
gets the message across but leaves the viewer with a message of something deeper.
Hope and optimism permeate throughout all of his designs and are the driving motivating
factor for creating the work he does.
“Being creative means that I look at the world a little bit differently. I see problems
as challenges that with a little bit of imagination and ingenuity, can be solved in
the most unexpected of ways. Let me tell you papier-mâché is quite the contender for
the most flexible, accessible, and cost-effective medium.”
When Camrin isn’t designing, he is often found at the dog beach building Sandcastles
with the family dog, Baylee. Directing films, With the family-owned production company,
Little Red Pictures. Or creating original works of art, hand-drawn illustrations,
and painting murals under the artist named, Glazer Jonze. The rest of his time is
spent volunteering at church, the Seal Beach Animal Shelter, or for I-Own-It a nonprofit
organization that helps the Long Beach community with school supplies, a neighborhood
pantry, and clothing.
Camrin looks forward to the future of graphic design and how creativity can be used
to change the world. He is a member of AIGA the professional association of design
which is the oldest and largest professional membership organization for designers.
Where he networks with industry professionals, hones and stays on top of his skills,
and mentors young designers as they navigate their careers. Make sure to follow him
