Biography

A Cum Laude graduate of Harvard University where he was an actor and a director in theater, Chris traveled to the London Film School where he received a Master of Fine Arts degree and discovered his love of film editing. In England he edited the short film "Second Best" starring Alan Bates and several documentaries. His short documentary film “Sheila” won acclaim on English Television and the short documentary award at the Chicago Film Festival. Moving back to America Chris became one of the leading producers and editors of motion picture trailers founding Cimarron Productions. There he was the creative force behind more than a thousand trailers, TV spots and “Behind the Scenes” documentaries for all the major studios on such films as Excalibur, Home Alone, War of the Roses, Basic Instinct, Nightmare on Elm Street, Ghostbusters, Unforgiven, Mrs. Doubtfire, Edward Scissorhands and Terminator 2 to name just a few. In 2000 Chris departed Cimarron to produce "Frozen in Fear” starring Eric Roberts and Rod Steiger. In 2005 he produced, directed and co-edited the documentary feature “The O Tapes” which Premiered at the Cinequest Film Festival and was picked up by SHOWTIME and The Movie Channel. In 2010 he edited the feature film “Bare Knuckles.” In 2014 he returned to documentaries as both director and editor of TRANS. The film screened in more than 52 film festivals worldwide and won over twelve “Best Documentary” Awards. Recently Chris edited the short film "Far Away Places" which has been selected by dozens of festivals worldwide winning several awards including Best Editing in one festival. Chris has also created a number of short films for worthy non-profits in Southern California area. Chris is a member of the Editors Guild, The Publicists Guild and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Scientists and currently lives in the Hollywood Hills.
