Amy has written, produced and directed award-winning films and story-based digital content for screening on broadcast TV, at festivals across North America and across social media platforms. A faculty member with the Digital Arts and New Media Program at Selkirk College since 2015, she earned an advanced diploma from Selkirk College’s Independent Digital Film Program in 2007. Amy participated as a Banff Spark Fellow in 2022, was selected to the Pacific Screenwriting Storyroom Program at the Whistler Film Festival in 2021, was a Hot Docs Accelerator Fellow in 2014 and awarded a Shaw Media Scholarship in 2011. She earned a Master’s in Education from Harvard University in 1999 and spent over a decade directing programs in the education and non-profits sectors in settings ranging from a juvenile detention centre in inner-city Boston to the overnight camp setting in the wilderness of Ontario.
