Marco Chiong is a visual artist driven to discover and create their own authentic expression and representation informed by their experiences as a queer and trans Asian-American. They grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where they were active in media arts and theatre. Marco pursued filmmaking at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, then focused their skills in directing and production design at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, which they graduated in 2020. Marco is passionate about empowering diverse and marginalized voices through filmmaking. They are an alumnus and former president (2019-2020) of the USC Asian Pacific Cinema Association. Outside of filmmaking, they love traveling, crafting, and photography. Marco is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
