Biography

Composer from Barcelona based in New York, I recently graduated from my MM in Composition at Mannes School of Music. During this time, I studied with Robert Cuckson and gained vast experience in the Orchestra Operations filed as an orchestra librarian, stage crew, and production assistant. This journey began after a lifelong music training at Conservatory del Liceu, and shortly after achieving a Bachelor in Architecture (ETSAB, Barcelona) and earning some professional experience in the field. My training as an architect has been crucial in the development of a very personal approach to any new project, regardless of the artform. The music I embark on seeks to explore polytonality and modal harmony, within a context of classical and contemporary music references. I have performed at outstanding venues such as the Palau de la Música (Barcelona) and the Klavierhaus (New York), both as soloist and accompanist, with chorus and Jazz ensembles. I have recently worked with the Mannes Orchestra and the JACK Quartet, as well as with the Lucille Lortel Theater, where I presented my theater songs. An opera enthusiast, I write mostly vocal music, including art songs and music theater pieces. More recently, I am participating as an Orchestra Library Apprentice at the National Music Festival and I will be joining Opera Lucca as a Composition Fellow with Raphael Fusco.
