Shaan Dasani

Born and raised in North Carolina, Shaan Dasani (he/him) is an award winning actor, writer & producer, based in Los Angeles. With an MFA in Film Production from Chapman University, he has written & produced over 30 short films. He is interested in working with familiar genres to tell culturally forward stories.

Shaan is the writer, co-producer and star of award winning film AGENTS OF CHANGE, PROJECT: POLYMER - a spy genre film about secret agents who fight environmental crime. Currently streaming on Open Television (OTV), the film was one of four projects nationwide selected as a part of OTV's Fellowship Award. It has won multiple awards at film festivals and screened as a part of the impact driven New York Climate Week, and the UN’s Climate Conference COP28. In 2024, Shaan produced two short films: CRAZY AS A LOON, a 1950s political suspense drama about the true events of the Lavender Scare, and a fast-paced gritty crime drama called WILD ONES (Currently in post)

As an actor, Shaan has been featured in commercials for Google, Uber Eats, and Wells Fargo, and on TV for CBS’s CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS and Fox’s 9-1-1. He has been an actor in multiple independent projects and is best known for his roles in the award winning queer comedy series THESE THEMS and Emmy-nominated RAZOR TONGUE. Shaan also lends his voice to numerous audiobooks, with publishers ranging from Penguin Random House to Harper Collins. He stars opposite Nava Mau (Baby Reindeer) in her film ALL THE WORDS BUT THE ONE, and Radha Mehta’s WITNESS, recipient of Tasveer Film Festival’s Production Grant in partnership with Netflix.
