Carlos Aparicio is an independent video maker and professional videographer, working
in the U.S. since 1980. He worked with Aikin on NY Pier 34 and The Salt Mines. His
other works include: The State of Black America, Harlem Under Siege, and The Masked.
Among his awards are a 1993 Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship and a 1995 American
Film Institute Grant.
